"I Witnessed God"

Since nineteen seventy-six, my hands have served,

A heart for God's people, steady and preserved.

Through trials and triumphs, I’ve stayed the course,

Led by compassion, powered by a holy source.

From welfare lines to college halls,

From housing calls to justice walls,

I’ve walked with souls from start to end,

Not just a helper, but a faithful friend.

Truck school dreams, business plans,

Legal aid and life’s demands—

Every case, each need and plea,

Became a sacred call to me.

They say I’m ranked among the best,

Top five in Riverside—what an honor test.

Finalist of the Torch of Ethics' flame,

For service that uplifts, not just a name.

Yet none of this did I earn alone,

Each step was guided from Heaven’s throne.

I witnessed God in every stride,

His presence walking by my side.

Two certificates in justice and healing,

Each earned with faith, prayer, and feeling.

Two degrees in service and law,

His fingerprints in every awe.

And when I crossed that Master’s stage,

It was God's strength that turned the page.

My business opened on Indiana Street,

Still thriving strong, though I’m rarely in the seat.

He blessed my home, gave it heavenly flair,

With beauty and peace flowing everywhere.

Then came the truck—my birthday gift,

A 2007 Ford, a divine uplift.

Not just a ride, but a holy sign,

That God's love and timing are always divine.

Through every step, through joy and strife,

I’ve truly loved this purpose-filled life.

Yes, my name is Roxanne—and I proudly say,

I've lived in God's grace, day by day.

Blessed, thankful, and deeply aware,

That God's love is beyond compare.
